Under the direction of the Director of Fund Development and Community Relations, the Donor Relations Manager coordinates the fundraising campaigns including individual, corporate, and events for Stanford Youth Solutions. The Donor Relations Manager is responsible for managing the assigned interns, vendors and sub-contractors of the Department. Under the supervision of the Director of Fund Development and Community Relations, the Donor Relations Manager will administer the annual gifts and donor relations/stewardship and planned giving activities as well as provide quality control regarding donor information and gifts. The Donor Relations Manager will research and resolve donor issues and manage administrative donor data systems, track donations and volunteer hours. All efforts support the Mission, Vision, and Values of Stanford Youth Solutions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years of experience in donor stewardship, volunteer management, event management and non-profit fundraising
  • Extensive knowledge, understanding, and experience with fundraising principles, practices, and trends
  • Excellent oral communication skills with demonstrated knowledge and experience in connecting with donors, sponsors, database, and event and volunteer management
  • Experience soliciting donors for in kind and sponsorship requests
  • Advanced skills in computer programs, database management, spreadsheets, and word processing; preferably highly experienced in Salesforce or similar donor database, the Microsoft suite of products: (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, InDesign), knowledge of Greater Giving Auction Software, Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively to achieve department goals
  • Highly experienced in customer service-oriented setting as a motivator and goal setter, with all levels of organizations
  • Adhere to all client and donor confidentiality requirements
  • Experience managing confidential materials and information
  • Experience communicating professionally with public in person and via telephone, colleagues, community partners, consumers, and all levels of management
  • Organizational and project/time management skills  - ability to multi-task and prioritize projects and assignments effectively
  • Demonstrated work in a team environment within department and organization-wide
  • Ability to work in a mobile, fast paced environment
  • Ability to use a laptop computer
  • Fulfillment of TB test, background check clearance, and any other mandatory Federal/State/County and agency requirements
  • Valid California driver’s license, proof of current automobile insurance, driving record acceptable to the agency’s insurance carrier
  • Must provide and operate a registered, properly insured automobile

Salary

Hiring Range: $55,000 – $59,500 annually
