The Director of Quality Improvement and Research (QIR Director) oversees all aspects of program quality improvement and research for the agency.  The QIR Director interfaces with the quality managers at the counties/ contracted partners and ensures that the agency meets the standards required in the agency contracts. The QIR Director is responsible for establishing, directing, and updating the quality assurance practices and systems agency-wide in order to ensure compliance with multiple systems and partners, and best practice utilization of quality systems.The QIR Director focuses on risk mitigation and improving efficiency in processes. The QIR Director champions continuous improvement as an agency value and leads employees in their commitment to consistently high standards. The QIR Director designs, develops, and evaluates compliance systems. Project planning and managing are critical components of this role. The QIR Director oversees HIPAA compliance and HIPAA training.  In Research, the QIR Director oversees the objective evaluation of existing service delivery and outcomes. In collaboration with Program Directors, the QIR Director will develop and improve research models to ensure outcomes are measured and reported according to industry and legal standards. The QIR Director makes recommendations to the CEO regarding quality and research initiatives, and is a member of the Executive Team. The QIR Director supports the Mission, Vision, and Values of Stanford Youth Solutions.

Qualifications

  • LCSW/ASW, LMFT/MFTI required
  • Minimum 3+ years experience as a program director or manager in child welfare, juvenile justice, or mental health required
  • Experience in non-profit organizations and programs preferred
  • Experience with Evidence Based Practices (EBPs) preferred
  • Experience leading teams, including all areas of employee supervision
  • Minimum 3 years experience in quality assurance or an analytical role, including thorough knowledge of HIPAA-related items
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and improving quality and research systems
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Strong computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and databases
  • Excellent communication, presentation, collaboration, and facilitation skills with colleagues, community partners, consumers, and all levels of management
  • Ability to take initiative, maintain confidentiality, meet or exceed deadlines, and handle and prioritize multiple detail-oriented tasks
  • Ability to exercise professional judgment and assume responsibility for decisions
  • The ability to adapt quickly to a changing environment and both learn and teach new systems and processes
  • Fulfillment of TB test, background check clearance, and any other mandatory State/Federal requirements
  • Valid California driver’s license, proof of automobile insurance, can maintain a driving record acceptable to the agency’s insurance carrier
  • Must provide and operate a registered, properly insured automobile

Salary

Salary Range: $75,000+
