Under the direction of the Director of Development and Marketing, the Development and Marketing Coordinator provides overall support for the Development and Marketing Department. This position plans, coordinates, and assists with the execution of the fundraising and marketing programs for Stanford Youth Solutions. The Development and Marketing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating projects with assigned staff, volunteers, vendors and contractors of the Development & Marketing Department. The Development and Marketing Coordinator will also coordinate annual campaigns, donor relations/stewardship programs, and perform administrative tasks for the department. This position will be responsible for supporting Stanford Youth Solutions fundraising, brand awareness, and business development efforts. Working closely with the Director of Development and Marketing, this position will help ensure we are continuing to effectively fundraise, steward donors, engage volunteers, track donations and support our programs while supporting the Mission, Vision, and Values of Stanford Youth Solutions.

 

Qualifications

  • BA in Marketing, communications, nonprofit management, public relations or related skills and experience preferred
  • Three to five years of experience in fund development, branding/marketing, event management and non-profit fundraising and marketing communications
  • Knowledge, understanding, and experience with fundraising principles, practices, and trends
  • Experience soliciting donors for in kind and sponsorship requests
  • Advanced skill level in writing, editing, and proofreading
  • Proven success drafting winning grants and creating unique and engaging content
  • Excellent oral communication skills with demonstrated knowledge and experience in connecting with prospects, donors, sponsors, and media in a variety of community based environments
  • Demonstrated experience in database entry, event planning, and volunteer coordination
  • Ability to attend events and conduct community outreach to raise awareness of agency
  • Experienced in customer service-oriented setting as a motivator and goal setter, with proven ability to work with people at all levels of an organization
  • Adhere to all confidentiality requirements
  • Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced, high interruption environment
  • Verbal and written ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, community partners, consumers and all levels of management
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment within department and agency wide
  • Fulfillment of TB test, background check clearance, and any other mandatory Federal/State/County and agency requirements
  • Valid California driver’s license, proof of current automobile insurance, driving record acceptable to the agency’s insurance carrier
  • Must provide and operate a registered, properly insured automobile
  • Able to make use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook to manage databases email, task list and calendar
  • Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office and fundraising software
  • Preferred experience with Adobe Design products (Photoshop, In Design, and Illustrator), and Constituent management software 

Salary

Hiring Range: $18.03-$21.15 hourly | Salary Range: $18.03-$26.44 hourly
