Beatriz began her journey with Stanford Sierra Youth & Families in 2019. Her current position as a Family & Youth Partnership Program Manager enables her to utilize her lived experience to empower, advocate for, and support youth and families. Beatriz is passionate about building partnerships and believes that collaborating with others to elevate the voices of underserved and underrepresented communities is critical to overall success.  

Beatriz also serves as a Latinx Cultural Broker, which helps ensure equitable services and resources are provided to Latinx youth and families served by SSYAF. In addition to her work at SSYAF, Beatriz is an instructor at the UC Davis Resource Center for Family Focused Practice where she collaborates with other professionals to share her lived experience, develop curriculum, and facilitate trainings.

Beatriz earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from CSU Sacramento in 2018. Outside of work, Beatriz enjoys live music, museums, and interactive exhibits.
