Strategic Initiative Officer
Terrell Thomas is the Strategic Initiative Officer at Stanford Youth Solutions, responsible for identifying business and grant funding opportunities to support areas of program growth and innovation designed to improve health and well-being outcomes for vulnerable children and families.
Terrell began her journey with Stanford Youth Solutions with nearly 15 years grant writing and grant management experience, to include an exceptional history of funding results in social services, mental/ behavioral health, education, and juvenile justice. She has worked in both the nonprofit and government sector, successfully securing funding to sustain vital community resources, as well as launch new state-of-the-art programs. She earned her master’s degree in Social Work (with a concentration in Advanced Practice Leadership) from Texas State University.
In partnership with donors, board members, staff, and various community stakeholders, Terrell helps ensure that Stanford Youth Solutions has the resources necessary to help keep kids safe and at home, in school, and out of trouble. Her position is vital in ensuring the long-term sustainability of the organization, while maximizing the greatest possible positive impact on children, families, employees, volunteers, and the community.
