Bob has been an active part of the construction industry in Northern California for more than 40 years. A graduate of Stanford University in Civil Engineering with an MBA from Pepperdine University, he is a licensed Civil Engineer. A long-time commercial general contractor, following the sale of the business, Bob founded Earl Consulting Co., which provides consulting services to the real estate and construction industries.

Additionally, for 14 years, Bob taught the capstone course in the Construction Management program at California State University, Sacramento, and in 2005 he represented the California State Contractors License Board on a national panel working on the development of a national contractors’ license exam.

Bob was awarded the Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser by the California Capital Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals in 2006, the Trainor Fairbrook 2006 Humanitarian of the Year, and was elected to the 2007 Sacramento Business Hall of Fame by Junior Achievement.

Bob believes the health of our community, and our society as a whole, is dependent on healthy, functioning individuals. Stanford Sierra Youth & Families gives at-risk children the opportunity to find loving, healthy relationships, which in turn helps them to grow into healthy, functioning adults. He and his wife, Nancy, are the proud parents of two adult children and the proud grandparents of three lovely granddaughters.
