Lori Montes, a licensed Marriage Family Therapist, joined Stanford Youth Solutions in 2011 after developing and implementing successful programs for at-risk youth for more than 7 years in San Mateo and Santa Clara County. Lori received her master’s degree in counseling psychology from the University of San Francisco in 2004, and her bachelors’ degree in psychology from CSU San Jose in 2002. Lori’s accomplishments include outpatient mental health care program development and management for at-risk and transitional age youth.Lori began her career in mental health providing school-based counseling to at-risk students, including the development of alternatives to suspension program, which consisted of psycho-education regarding developmental stages of adolescence, substance abuse, gang involvement and mental health related issues.

“I strongly believe in serving youth where and when it is most needed. I am honored to be a part of Stanford Youth Solutions’s team, as we strive together to empower youth to utilize their individual strengths and natural supports to foster independence and success,” Lori said.
