Dr. Laura Heintz
Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Laura Heintz is the Chief Executive Officer of Stanford Youth Solutions, formerly Stanford Home for Children. For nearly 25 years, Dr. Heintz has worked tirelessly to help nonprofit health and human service organizations grow and expand their ability to serve children and families.
Over the years of service in a variety of programs, Dr. Heintz focuses on implementing services that meet the needs of the young people and their families. She started her years of service in the field as an in-home behavioral support counselor, became a social worker, and developed several new programs. Now she is CEO of Stanford Youth Solutions, speaking nationwide as a member of the Provider Exchange through Annie E. Casey Foundation. With Annie E. Casey Foundation, Dr. Heintz is focused on redesigning the Child Welfare and Juvenile Justice System with the goal of improving outcomes for at-risk youth.
Dr. Heintz serves as a (statewide) Prevent Child Abuse Advisory Committee Inaugural Member and is on the Executive Committee of the Yolo County Children’s Alliance and Child Abuse Prevention Council. She is also the current President of the Association of Mental Health Contractors for Sacramento.
A native Sacramentan, Dr. Heintz holds a Doctorate in Psychology, a Masters in Holistic Studies and a double BA in Human Development and Psychology. She is a member of Sacramento Rotary Club. She lives in Carmichael with her husband and two children.
