Leader Profile

Debra, a NeuroMuscular Massage Therapist and adoptive parent, has a long-standing history of working with organizations that serve foster youth. Her first job out of college was at a foster family agency and led her to a passion for supporting children with a history of trauma. Debra and her husband adopted their son when he was four years old and his biological family was unable to care for him. Their son is now 18 years old and is thriving.

Debra holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology, a Master’s in Public Health, and is a Certified Massage Therapist. Her professional accomplishments include being grant winner and director of a statewide technical assistance project and serving as the lead massage therapist for a studio designed to combat chronic pain, stress, and anxiety.

In her spare time, Debra enjoys being with with her large extended family and participating in a book club. She also practices yoga several days per week.
