ROCKLIN (CBS13) — A man in Rocklin is turning heads with his one-of-a-kind haunted house experience with a message.

It’s been in the works for seven years, taking construction crews and volunteers two weeks to put it together.

Every inch of it is decked out with props realistic enough to be from a movie set.

Ted Bort is the man behind the vision. He was a former foster child and says he never had a chance to experience Halloween.

“I’m in awe; I love it,” he said of the display. “I’m a little kid. To have this kind of fun—the fun I didn’t get to experience growing up, to see the look on their faces—so awarding it’s awesome,” he said.

Bort is hosting a fundraiser dinner on Friday to support Stanford Youth Solutions. The group serves at risk kids and their families in the area.

Tickets are $25 apiece, or $80 for families and can be bought atyouthsolutions.org.
