The Wonder of this Moment

Celebrate the late James Humphrey’s legacy in art and poetry, while supporting Stanford Home for Children November 19, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at the California Stage, 2509 R Street, Sacramento.

  • The evening includes food and wine samplings, live poetry readings of Mr. Humphrey’s work and a performance by the Brubeck Jazz Quintet with a suggested donation of $25

Mr. Humphrey, (1939-2008), a Nobel Literature finalist, survived a childhood ridden with challenges, and expressed the beauty he found in life through prose and abstract art.

Mrs. Norma Humphrey has partnered with the California Stage to create this memorable event, honoring her husband’s wishes to raise awareness for at-risk youth by generously donating the event’s proceeds to Stanford Home to empower youth and families to overcome the challenges that threaten to keep them apart.
